Brand Access Solutions Shortlisted for Two NASC Scaffolding Excellence Awards
July 9th 2026
Brand Access Solutions is proud to announce that we have been shortlisted for two prestigious Project of the Year awards at the 2026 NASC Scaffolding Excellence Awards.
The annual awards recognise outstanding achievement across the scaffolding and access industry, celebrating projects that demonstrate engineering excellence, innovation, collaboration and the highest standards of safety.
This year, Brand Access Solutions has been shortlisted in the following categories:
Project of the Year (Medium)
Henry Cotton Building, Liverpool
Delivered in partnership with VINCI Building, the Henry Cotton Building project involved the design and installation of a highly complex access scaffold and temporary roof solution to facilitate the removal of the existing roof and construction of two additional floors.
Despite significant engineering and logistical challenges, including a large free-standing scaffold design and restricted city-centre working conditions, the project was completed safely, within budget and one week ahead of programme, showcasing the expertise of our operational and engineering teams.
“The VINCI Building team at the Henry Cotton Building, Liverpool John Moores University, have been highly impressed with Brand’s delivery of the 1,637m² scaffold tent. Despite the scale and complexity, the structure was delivered safely, on programme and to an excellent standard. Health and safety, quality and communication were all exemplary. This installation is set to be a key contributor to the project’s success.”

Project of the Year (Large)
Jenners Department Store, Edinburgh
Delivered for GRAHAM Construction, the Jenners project has been recognised for its role in the restoration of one of Scotland’s most iconic Category A-listed buildings.
The bespoke access solution combines complex internal and external scaffolding, innovative in-house engineering and close collaboration with project stakeholders to support the careful restoration of this historic landmark, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality throughout the ongoing works.
“Brand Access Solutions were chosen to carry out all the major scaffolding works at Jenners due to the complexity and location of the work in Edinburgh city centre. The scaffolding build ran very smoothly and was down to the high quality of management from the Brand site and project team.”
– Andrew Little, Project Manager, GRAHAM Construction
Being shortlisted in both categories is a fantastic achievement and reflects the dedication, expertise and collaboration of our operational, engineering and support teams, as well as the strong partnerships we continue to build with our clients.
Congratulations to everyone involved in these outstanding projects, and best of luck to all finalists at the 2026 NASC Scaffolding Excellence Awards.
Brand Access Solutions by BrandSafway has announced the opening of a new branch in Newcastle, further strengthening its UK presence and enhancing support for customers across the Northeast.
The new office, located at Unit 22B, 7 & 8 Delta Bank Road, Gateshead, NE11 9DJ, will serve as a regional hub, improving response times and providing a stronger local point of contact for clients.
The investment forms part of the company’s ongoing strategy to combine national capability with regional delivery, ensuring customers benefit from both scale and local expertise.
Centin, Vice President of Europe Commercial, said:
“I’m pleased to announce that we are opening a new branch in Newcastle.
We’ve been listening to our customers across the North, and one thing has been clear, they want faster response and stronger local support.
This bridges the gap between our operations in Scotland and our presence further south, allowing us to respond more quickly across the region.
As a national business, it’s important that we combine scale with regional strength, and this investment helps us do exactly that.”
The Newcastle branch will initially focus on building a dedicated local team and developing its customer base across the Northeast. Supported by the wider Brand Access Solutions and BrandSafway network in the UK, the branch will contribute to the delivery of hybrid access solutions across a range of sectors.
Chris Burton, who joined the business as Newcastle Branch Manager in March, will lead the new operation.
“I’m excited to be joining Brand Access Solutions and leading our new Newcastle branch.
As someone who’s local to the Northeast, it’s great to be supporting customers in the region at a more direct level and to provide the best possible support for their projects.”
Strategically located with strong access to key transport routes, the office is well positioned to support efficient mobilisation across the region.
The opening represents a further step in Brand Access Solutions’ continued investment in its UK branch network, reinforcing its commitment to delivering safe, reliable and locally supported solutions to customers nationwide.

Working together to prioritise mental health in construction
Brand Access Solutions was proud to support a major mental health stand down delivered by Bowmer + Kirkland at their Echo Street development in Manchester, reinforcing the importance of wellbeing as a core element of site safety.
More than 250 people across the project paused work to take part in a dedicated mental health session delivered by Ark Fire Protection and led by The Lighthouse Charity. The session created space for open and honest conversations around mental health, suicide prevention, and recognising when colleagues may need support – sending a clear message that looking after mental wellbeing is just as critical as managing physical risks on site.
To extend the message beyond those present on the day, the building façade was illuminated over three nights with powerful statements reflecting real experiences within the construction industry. Brand Access Solutions supported the installation, working alongside Bowmer + Kirkland and partners across the supply chain to help raise awareness, challenge stigma and encourage people to speak up if they are struggling.
The initiative highlights the scale of the mental health challenge within construction and underlines the responsibility the industry shares to address it. By supporting projects like this, Brand Access Solutions is committed to fostering safer, healthier and more supportive working environments – where safety truly means protecting people in every sense.
“Initiatives like this are vital in reminding everyone that safety on site goes beyond physical risk. Supporting the mental health stand down at Echo Street was an important opportunity for us to stand alongside our customers and partners in encouraging open conversations, reducing stigma and reinforcing that looking after people must always come first.”
– Steve Darley, Manchester Branch Manager, Brand Access Solutions
The Lighthouse Charity continues to provide free, confidential 24/7 support to construction workers and their families, including counselling and emergency financial assistance.

Forth Rail Bridge Maintenance Solutions with QuikDeck
Brand Access Solutions has previously played a key role in delivering Forth Rail Bridge maintenance solutions, supporting one of Scotland’s most celebrated landmarks and a UNESCO World Heritage site. As a critical part of the UK’s railway infrastructure, the bridge demands highly specialised care. While previous access work is now complete, future maintenance is inevitable, and the QuikDeck suspended access system could represent a step forward in how that work is delivered.
During past projects on the bridge, Brand Access Solutions provided traditional access methods such as scaffold towers, fixed platforms and rope access. These techniques were essential to safely navigate the complex structure, respect heritage protection standards and avoid disruption to rail traffic.
Forth Rail Bridge Maintenance Solutions, A Structure That Requires Care
Completed in 1890, the Forth Rail Bridge remains a marvel of engineering. However, its exposed location, constant operational function and age mean that periodic inspection and maintenance will always be required.
“With heritage structures like the Forth Rail Bridge, the work is never truly done,” said Centin Baxter, Vice President of Brand Access Solutions. “We delivered a significant access package on the bridge using traditional techniques, but we are continually assessing how innovation can provide safer and more efficient solutions in the future.”
QuikDeck, A Factory Floor in the Air
Although not used in previous works, QuikDeck is now under consideration for future access requirements. The system has already proven its value on major UK infrastructure projects.
At Manchester Airport’s Terminal 2, Brand Access Solutions deployed 2,400 m² of the QuikDeck platform, suspended from roof trusses to enable ceiling replacement in the check-in hall. This solution allowed work to continue without impacting passenger movement below. The sealed platform used Compoform sheets, supported up to 100 kg/m², and included HAKI stair towers and hoists to improve logistics.
The system also removes the need for falsework and maintains a clear space beneath. This makes it ideal for active environments such as railways or airports, where traditional scaffold towers could disrupt operations.
Lean more about QuikDeck in our Brochure.
A Future-Focused Approach
QuikDeck’s modular design, ability to be built in the air and strong safety performance make it a powerful candidate for future railway access solutions. The platform can be adapted mid-project, assembled quickly and delivers reliable load capacity. At the same time, it helps reduce environmental impact and logistical complexity. More than a scaffold alternative, it represents genuine bridge maintenance innovation.
Ready for What Comes Next?
As the needs of landmark structures continue to evolve, Brand Access Solutions remains committed to combining hands-on expertise with innovative tools such as QuikDeck. This approach ensures world-class heritage infrastructure maintenance and sets new standards for access across the UK’s most important assets, including the Forth Rail Bridge.

Brand Access Solutions Shortlisted for NASC Large Project of the Year Award
July 31 2025
Brand Access Solutions has been shortlisted for the 2025 NASC Scaffolding Excellence Awards in the Project of the Year (Large) category, recognising its delivery of a highly complex scaffolding and temporary roofing solution at the Moxy Hotel in Bristol.
Undertaken in the heart of a busy city centre, this live hotel project demanded meticulous planning, precision engineering, and exceptional care to avoid disruption to the public and hotel operations. Brand Access Solutions successfully developed and delivered a fully bespoke access and weather protection system that maintained full functionality of the hotel throughout the works.
The project featured a fully encapsulated scaffold structure and craned-in temporary roof system, providing critical protection to a new timber-framed rooftop extension during construction. The system was engineered using Brand Access Solutions’ versatile CUPLOK® scaffold, chosen for its strength, flexibility, and speed of installation — key advantages in a restricted and sensitive urban site.
To further support operational continuity and reduce local impact, deliveries and heavy vehicle movements were strategically scheduled outside peak hours, with close coordination between the project and hotel teams. These measures helped minimise noise, traffic disruption and public interface risks throughout the project.
Sustainability was also a core consideration. The scaffold and temporary roofing components were modular and reusable, reducing material waste, while careful planning helped limit emissions associated with transport and installation.
Project Highlights:
Bespoke scaffold and encapsulated temporary roof over a live hotel
Sensitive construction over a newly built timber-framed structure
Zero disruption to hotel operations and minimal public disturbance
CUPLOK® scaffold system optimised for a constrained urban footprint
Sustainable, low-waste design using reusable components
Delivery scheduling and site coordination reduced traffic and noise impact
Client Testimonial:
“Clarity, technical expertise, and professionalism… Their commitment to quality, safety, and client service was evident from start to finish.”
– Rob Henderson, Vastint EU
This NASC shortlisting reflects Brand Access Solutions’ ability to deliver high-risk, high-profile projects with technical excellence, operational care, and a steadfast commitment to safety and sustainability.

SGB Buys Lyndon Scaffolding Press Release
We are thrilled to be the cover feature of the Spring issue of Scaffmag, with an interview with Lyndon Scaffolding CEO, Rob Lynch.
You can read it free here.
We take our corporate responsibility very seriously at Lyndon – always looking to give back to the communities we work in along with making donations to the charities we support – as a company and also backing-up the many benevolent acts of our wonderful staff.
Our 50th year in business (2018) is no exception. And we have just reached a £1,000,000 charitable donation landmark, since the 21st century began to 2017/2018 year end.
Lyndon Scaffolding CEO, Rob Lynch: “At Lyndon Scaffolding we have always taken our wider community responsibilities very seriously. One aspect of this is the charities and good causes we support. This year we have reached a milestone, since 2000 we have made direct donations of over £1 million to the charities that are important to our employees and customers. We can only do this because of the hard work and success of all our employees, so thank you to everyone who has made this possible.”
Lyndon are thrilled to have been awarded the Future Construction award for our innovative Site Manager app.
The coveted construction award – a major new content partnership between videographers The B1M and main contractors, Kier Group – has been created to explore innovation and digital technology in the sector. Entrants from across the construction industry were invited by The B1M’s huge audience to submit their favourite innovations… and Lyndon topped the lot!
Rob Lynch, CEO of Lyndon Scaffolding said: ”We are very pleased to have been recognised with this award for our innovative approach by such cutting edge construction media and industry people in the know at Kier Group.
“Despite the scaffolding sector being a traditional industry, Lyndon is at the forefront of change and the use of modern technology, products, logistics and materials to stay ahead of the game.
“Lyndon developed the Site Manager app to improve the overall quality of the statutory inspections that we undertake for our clients on a weekly basis. The app helps to guide the inspector to complete more thorough inspections and better record and report faults. It’s all part of our mission to make the scaffolding sector safer, week in, week out.”
The Lyndon site manager app, which started use in February 2016, runs on both Android and Apple devices, and uploads a record of each inspection to the cloud. It works both online and offline, and is designed to incorporate photographs and signatures. This creates a consolidated, easily accessible repository for the reports, which can be shared and viewed digitally by all relevant stakeholders.
“The feedback has been very positive from both users and the end clients who can see a real difference in the quality of reports,” adds Rob Lynch, adding that Lyndon and CADS are continuing their close collaboration, updating the product and adding new features, as well as working on new ventures.
Future Construction is exploring how Kier Group is embracing innovation and digital technologies at a transformative time for the sector, through a series of short documentaries. The content, produced in partnership by The B1M and Kier, is freely distributed on YouTube and a dedicated microsite.
A spokesperson for The B1M said: “From all the entries received, Lyndon’s Inspector App was chosen as our winning submission.”
