Health & Safety
Environmental, Health & Safety Excellence comes first, always. Our EHS approach is very straightforward and all-encompassing, meaning personnel from field level to senior management are engaged in safety and play a role in our policies, programs, procedures and tools. At Brand Access Solutions we are all accountable for Environmental, Health and Safety performance.
Environment
All parts of the Brand Access Solutions business in the UK is accredited to the environmental standard ISO 14001:2015. A comprehensive environmental policy sets out the arrangements for implementing the high standards of environmental control.
In respect to the activities we can control or expect to have reasonable influence over, we recognise our responsibility for protecting the environment and our environmental policy is a statement of that commitment.
We are also committed to the prevention of pollution and to complying with all applicable environmental, legal and regulatory requirements.
Recycling
As part of our Environmental Management System we have a segregated waste policy and although we are a low impact business, we are currently addressing ways to recycle a higher percentage of branch operation waste.
Sustainability
All the products used in day to day business have an extended life cycle, with the exception of timber products which are used for scaffold boards. Our scaffold boards are purchased from three suppliers, each of whom can confirm that their products are from renewable and environmentally well managed sources.
Quality
Brand Access Solutions thinks deeply about the materials it purchases and forges long-term relationships with its suppliers. Controlled and careful purchasing is a key contributor to the eventual safety of the access provided. All Brand Access Solutions equipment is manufactured, rigorously inspected and maintained to its own, industry recognised, quality control standards. A quality management team is involved in the regular vetting and monitoring of suppliers to ensure they do not compromise on material and performance specifications.
The processes followed are outlined by the comprehensive internal quality manual, guaranteeing the engineering and product specification standards that you need to work safely. Areas of the business are accredited to meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, maintaining dedicated commitment to high standards.
Brand Access Solutions uses only:
- High yield galvanised scaffold tube, 25% lighter but stronger than traditional 4mm tube
- Drop-forged fittings
- Scaffolding boards to British Standard BS2482
- Genuine CUPLOK, OEM HAKI and Layher scaffolding – no copies
Innovation & Engineering
Brand Access Solutions have in-house engineers and designers covering a range of disciplines and are chosen for their ability to innovate solutions that pre-empt and solve problems, and save money for customers. Innovations can be new ways of using old methods, new applications for existing products, or something completely radical. With experience and expertise stretching back over a century, we have already developed many widely used solutions, but more importantly, we have the ingenuity to devise new ones.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
In addition to our ethical code of conduct, we are a business that enthusiastically promotes corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Proactively supporting our local communities and wider public interests, we aid local and international charities, sponsor local youth sporting teams, encourage education through dedicated training programmes and promote local employment where possible.
Brand Access Solutions has committed to the Ready for Work scheme. Ready for Work is a national programme from Business in the Community (BITC) that engages business to support disadvantaged groups, particularly people who have experienced homelessness, into employment.
Born out of BITC’s Business Action on Homelessness campaign, Ready for Work has supported over 2,600 people into work since 2001. As well as homelessness the people supported face a range of challenges. These can include being in care, long term unemployment and having criminal convictions.
Apprentices and Training
Brand Access Solutions believes in cultivating and retaining the best people in the industry. We aspire to empower our employees and we do that by offering open communication, a stable workplace, access to a career path and through a robust training and education approach, providing them with the tools they need to be successful.
Brand Access Solutions has a real appreciation of what a business needs to do to be sustainable in the long term.
A critical aspect of sustainability is to have a renewable workforce. Brand Access Solutions invests heavily in training, annually providing around 500 separate training courses.
In addition Brand Access Solutions has had a long term relationship with The Manchester College and annually recruits around 5-8 apprentices to train as scaffolders. Over half of these apprentices continue to be employed by Brand Access Solutions.
Charity Work
As part of a wider corporate responsibility strategy, Brand Access Solutions attempts to raise as much money as possible for charitable causes every year – through the activities of its employees and company donations to good causes.

Brand Access Solutions scaffolding and access export services provide products and solutions to the world’s construction and maintenance industries. Customers include a wide range of end users from multiple industries such as residential or commercial construction and refurbishment to complex shipbuilding, processing and offshore scaffold and access provision.
We provide complete solutions to your access requirements on a global basis and act as an international window on the total resources of the group.
With services covering everything from design and feasibility studies, to product delivery and on-site technical support. We have a unique international pool of expertise, including extensive research and development facilities that ensure that all products are fully tested and certified for your market.
Our UK design team provides support to its many offices across the globe. They play a vital role in responding to client requirements for time sensitive, cost effective solutions and are supported by a customer service network which provides local representation and support in most parts of the world. This ensures fast response and good communications – even when dealing with more remote locations.
